In this passage we see Peter step forward on the day of Pentecost and deliver the first sermon ever preached after the birth of the church. The focus of Peter’s sermon is to make Jesus known as Lord and Savior. However, in the beginning of his sermon, Peter first explains to his audience what they are witnessing and why they need to give heed to his words.
