In this passage instructions are given to the Isrealites to take a census and use the contributions for construction of items for the temple. Instructions are also given to construct a basin in which the priests were to wash their hands and feet before going into the tabernacle. The contributions and the ceremonial washing are both symbolic of believers being set apart and cleansed before a Holy God. These are foreshadowing references to our salvation and subsequent sanctification when God calls us unto Himself and sets us apart for His service as His Holy people. Brother TJ explains in this sermon how these old testament examples point to Christ, and how we are set apart and cleansed through His Grace.
