A Beautiful Reconciliation With A Disappointing End

After a night of wrestling with God, Jacob meets his brother Esau and by God’s grace the two experience a beautiful tear filled reconciliation. Jacob had fervently sought God’s blessing and as a result God not only delivered him from his fear that Esau would kill him, but he also gave him the gift of the favor and forgiveness of his brother. But, unfortunately it does not take Jacob long to slip into some old tendencies and take a spiritual step backward. In this passage Brother Tracey looks at both the good and the bad of Jacob’s reunion with his brother Esau.
